Sustainablity (ESG)

Our purpose is to ‘provide a sustainable financial future to every individual’. ESG plays an integral role in this purpose and is intrinsic driven. We embarked our ESG journey, as a corporate but also as individuals. We have a tailored and hands-on approach towards ESG and are constantly seeking balance between maximizing risk-adjusted returns for our clients and adhering to ESG principles.

In our view it is about taking action, and this all starts with transparency, for instance by measuring the carbon footprint of our own organization and the asset under management. This is the starting point of our action plan to mitigate carbon emissions which is leading in our journey towards net zero in 2050.

At Primevest Capital Partners our environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework is based upon the 17 UN sustainable development goals, or ‘UNSDG’, which were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. We aim to develop a consistent approach to ESG across both our offices and three business areas and funds, although each are at different stages of development dependent upon the needs of the fund’s investors and the impact of the underlying real asset.

Our mission is to invest in the future of cities and as such we see the UNSDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities as the overarching ambition of our ESG agenda.

UNSDG 11 – Making cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

Urbanisation continues around the world and our cities continue to expand. This goal is focused on structuring these large cities in a sustainable way: safely, smartly and with a focus on people and the environment. Technological and environmental innovation are the binding factors and in one way or another all of our funds contribute to the development of sustainable cities.

  • Technology: provides the infrastructure backbone by delivering the technology and data to enable people to live more sustainable lives;
  • Residential: provides our urban dwellers with contemporary and affordable housing – and together with our investors we are working to ensure that the housing we deliver is created with long-term sustainability in mind;
  • Parking: car parks are becoming mobility hubs for city centres. They not only provide a roof for cars but take vehicles off the streets and are starting to offer wider uses, such as drop-off and delivery nodes. Surprisingly car parks are one of the most energy-efficient real assets.
